Chicken Katsu

I remember the glazed golden brown texture I used to consume. The mouth watering meal always took me by surprised as its delicious aroma took me on a journey of my own. By following this recipe, you shall find yourself able to make the juicy delicious chicken katsu. It is from a Japanese origin.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg of Chicken thigh

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1 bag of panko crumbs

  • 1 Tablespoon of Oil


Equipment

  • Frying pan

  • Chopping board

  • A sharp knife

  • 3 large bowls

  • A whisk


Method

  1. To make this appetising repast, you shall need to gather your ingredients.

  2. Crack your 3 eggs and pour the mix in a bowl. Stir gently till it is all a yellow/ orange texture.

  3. Pour your panko crumbs and your 1 cup of flour into 1 bowl for each ingredient.

  4. Thinly slice the chicken thighs to evenly thick pieces.

  5. Lay the chicken thigh pieces in the bowl of flour and coat it with it.

  6. Take the thighs out of the bowl and dip it in the thigh in the egg mix.

  7. Finally, cover the chicken in panko crumbs.

  8. Once finished one, you can repeat the process with other pieces.

  9. Once all thighs are ready to cook in a frying pan, before you do, you need to add oil to frying pan.

  10. Pan fry the chicken thighs approximately 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown
