Autumn Ensembles Concert 2021

Autumn Ensembles Concert, 7pm Tue 16^th Nov 2021, Main Hall Tiffin School

You are invited to the Autumn Ensembles Concert taking place at 7pm on Tue 16^th Nov in the Main Hall at Tiffin School. All are welcome to attend, admission is free of charge, seating is unreserved, and no ticket is required to enter. There will be a retiring collection in support of the work of Tiffin music department, including the tuition of ensembles. The concert will end at approximately 8:30pm.

The following ensembles will perform in the Autumn Ensembles Concert, 7pm Tue 16^th Nov:

Chamber Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Combo, School Orchestra, String Orchestra, Swing Band, Wind Band & Wind Chamber Ensemble.

The following ensembles and individuals will perform not in the Ensembles Concert but instead in the Open Concert, 6pm Tue 30^th Nov:

Rock Band, Guitar Ensemble, student-led ensembles & soloists.

On the day of the Ensembles concert there will be a brief final rehearsal for each ensemble between 3:30 and 6:30pm. Pupils may leave the school site but, should they need to remain at school when they are not rehearsing, they are welcome to do so. Pupils will require a packed tea and, between rehearsals, will be asked to remain in the Learning Resource Centre (open until 4:30pm), Room 88 or the Walden Hall (where pupils may complete homework or eat cold food). Pupils should attend the concert wearing full school uniform although, during the performance, blazers will not be required. Please find below a timetable for pupils who will perform in this concert.

Tue 16^th Nov 2021

3:15-6:30pm Final Rehearsals in Main Hall

*Pupils attend the Main Hall ten minutes before their scheduled rehearsal, or as soon as possible following their final lesson.

*Pupils waiting to rehearse may leave the school site or remain in the LRC, Rm 88 or the Walden Hall.

*After their rehearsal, pupils may place their instruments (carefully stored in cases) in their green rooms 18, 17 or 16 (see below).

3:15-3:45pm String Orchestra final rehearsal, Main Hall

3:50-4:15pm Concert Band & Wind Band final rehearsal, Main Hall

4:15-4:45pm School Orchestra & Chamber Orchestra final rehearsal, Main Hall

4:45-5:00pm Wind Chamber Ensemble final rehearsal, Main Hall

6:00-6:15pm Jazz Combo final rehearsal, Main Hall

6:15-6:30pm Swing Band final rehearsal, Main Hall

6:45pm Pupils place belongings in green rooms and take their seats

Room 18: School Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Band, Wind Chamber Ensemble

Room 17: Wind Band, Swing Band, Jazz Combo

Room 16: String Orchestra, Others

*Pupils then take seats at the back of the Main Hall on the ground floor and in the gallery (balcony). Swing Band members take their seats on stage.

7:00pm Concert begins

*When not performing, pupils take seats at the back of the Main Hall on the ground floor or in the gallery (balcony).

*Two items before performing, pupils leave the hall and assemble in their green room.

*One item before performing, pupils wait outside the stage door ready to perform.

8:30pm approx. Concert ends. All performers assist in returning music equipment to Walden Hall
