Switching back and forth between online learning and face-to-face learning, students have experienced a unique opportunity and challenge to work independently, and learn at their own pace. In spite of Covid 19 pandemic, Maths department strives to make teaching engaging and inspiring. Our teachers have developed exciting new strategies to provide students with more personalised learning and meaningful feedback by integrating technology in lessons. Desmos, GeoGebra, Ti-Nspire, and ManageBac are a few of the many online tools that teachers have used to their maximum potential to enhance the conceptual understanding. Assessments have also changed to better assess a student’s understanding of concepts, logical reasoning, mathematical communication, and application of concepts, extending beyond simply retrieving the correct answers. The Mathematics Department continues to go from strength to strength having achievements in AMC8, SEAMO, WMI, SINGA Math Global and AMO.
