As Grade 8 students at the end of our Middle School years, we reminisce on our unforgettable journey. Almost three years ago, we started Grade 6 by getting to know MSHS, adjusting with moving from one building to the next and bonding with our classmates. Then a momentous time in March 2020 forced us to stay home and adjust to online school. That lasted throughout Grade 7 until the second semester of Grade 8, where we all thankfully came together again; learning on campus, collaborating, becoming closer and realising how much we missed the pleasantly amiable atmosphere we had experienced on a daily basis. To describe our grade, the word buoyant comes to mind because of its different meanings. We are definitely a representation of the fun, cheerful and optimistic interpretation of the term. We are always alive, speaking our minds and showing our personalities. We have also thrived, as in the Archimedes principle, re-emerging even though the pandemic has at times pushed us very deep. But we have all had our Eureka moments, understood how the world was connected, found our way back successfully as stronger and wiser individuals. We are ready and excited to take on what will come our way in High School starting from next year!
