Dear SWA Community,
Greetings and welcome to our 2021-2022 Sinarmas World Academy Yearbook!
The academic year 2021-2022 marked the return of students to the school after many months of online learning. This was exciting despite the limitations and it was very pleasant to see students interacting with each other within the boundaries of our safety protocols. The hybrid program at SWA demonstrated once again our ability to adjust to new situations and how we can embrace innovation by obtaining great results from complicated circumstances. Our teachers had to re-adjust their teaching in a way that served both students who were physically in the classroom and those who were learning from home. But we all persisted despite the complications posed by the restrictions of the ongoing pandemic. There are two qualities that SWA’s students have demonstrated that makes them successful: adaptability and perseverance. These two qualities have been rigorously tested this year. When times were hard, you adapted at your best to meet the changes and persevered when it became challenging. And now…
As the world recovers from the long years of the Covid 19 Pandemic, it is experiencing a whole new set of challenges to all of us. It is time to embark on new adventures and growth. It is time to feed the soul with new experiences and challenges, even if they are daunting and heighten your anxiety. It is time to end the comfort zone accumulated during the last couple years. Staying in a safe zone begets inactivity. Within the comfort zone, there isn’t much motivation for people to reach new heights of performance. It’s here that people go about routines devoid of risk, causing their progress to plateau.
Congratulations to our graduates who have been accepted to many notable and prestigious universities of their choice. It is now your time to pursue and realize your next journey and milestone. I wish you all a wonderful future filled with exciting adventures and challenges that take you to the edge of your growth zone and beyond. It is time to end your comfort zone. It is time to leave your parents’ nest and truly find your own wings, courageously, joyfully and with purpose to achieve the greatness that your families and teachers at SWA have instilled in you. Always remember to give impact significantly to the world and solve future challenges that we may face as a society. I look forward to your continued success.
Also, congratulations to our students’ accomplishments in this academic year. They have pushed their limits by participating in many reputable competitions and brought home prestigious awards.
In this address, I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all stakeholders of Sinarmas World Academy for their direct and indirect support and participation in all our students’ achievements. These could only be made possible through the collaborative efforts of all parties involved. Students worked diligently to materialize their goals. Parents provided their unconditional support. SWA faculty and the business staff worked tirelessly to provide the most appropriate and safe learning environment, always giving and staying positive!
Continue to give and to stay positive, beyond the realm of comfortable!
