The Grade 2 students participated in their first online PKU ES exchange programme under the supervision of the SWA Chinese Principal, Ms. Guo. Through the interesting presentation of our host school, PKU ES, the SWA Grade 2 students explored the different tourist spots in China and the famous Chinese delicacies. The students also put their paper-folding skills to the test as the PKU ES art teacher taught them origami, which is an artform that was started by Buddhist monks from China who carried paper to Japan in the 6th century.
The online exchange was a unique experience for both SWA and PKU ES. We are grateful to the technology that allowed our students to virtually meet and learn from each other despite the constraints the pandemic has placed on international travelling. Everyone is looking forward to another successful exchange programme next year.
