Personal Project Exhibition

The MYP Personal Project Fair is always an amazing exhibition of our students’ achievements. The Personal Project has been an opportunity for the students to immerse themselves, via self-directed inquiry, in a topic they are passionate about. The Personal Project Exhibition was carried out virtually on 17 Feb 2022 this year with students creating a website utilizing Google Sites to share their work as well as a virtual reality exhibition through Artsteps. Students also led workshops with small groups of SWA students to help engage them in the process of project development and get them excited about each of their specific areas of focus.This self-initiated and self-directed learning process highlights our students’ deep understanding of themselves in the world around them. The workshop portion of the Personal Project Exhibition allowed students to interact in a game-like manner that combined video conferencing and a custom designed exhibition space. Grade 10 students showed an exceptional amount of creativity in the exhibition this year and should be commended for their resilience. To complete the Personal Project successfully, the students have used all of the approaches to learning (ATL) skills they have developed during their time in the MYP.
