Pi Day

Pi Day was officially established as the International Day of Mathematics. It is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. It is one of the important occasions here in SWA that most of the students and teachers are looking forward to celebrating each year. This school year the elementary school department celebrated pi day last Monday, 14 March 2022. There were a variety of activities that were offered and given to the students as the pre-activity such as Pi Jingle, Pie/Pizza Making Competition, Quiz Bee and colouring activity. The pi jingle has been participated by Grade 3 - 5 students while the pizza/ pie making has been offered to Grade 1 - 5 students. Both pre-activities have been a huge success based on the number of students who turned in their entry. And on the day of the celebration the students were put in their respective houses and played 3 online games such as the Magic Square, Memory Game, and the Matchsticks Puzzles. The house who completed and answered correctly all the 3 different games in the shortest possible time will win the game. The students have shown eagerness and willingness to participate in the different games. The overall winner of the challenge and games for this school year is Komdo!
