Daily Patterns

Murphy

I'm calling this project, Murphy because that is my dog's name and he is the subject of the photo. I chose to create this specific work because of covid-19 I have been bonding more with my dog and not pestering my cat is much and since my dog is getting really old I take him outside and play with a ball or when I have other people around we take him on walks either in the woods or just around the yard we can't take him on our road because it's so busy and right now they're doing construction on the roads and it's not safe. For materials, I used my dog Murphy and my camera. I use a variety of techniques and methods including adding warmth, adding definition, adjusting light, adjusting the Shadow. I like the way the yellow flowers are in the background behind my dog because he is a yellow lab and I think it just is cute that a yellow lab saying front of the yellow flowers, which we have all around the yard. I wanted my artwork to look meaningful since he is getting really old and has a lot of hip issues right now he may not live till next year so having photos is wonderful that we can print and hang up for whenever if we want to or even after he's gone. however I struggled with getting my dog to listen to me and sit still oh, he does have some issues we think he may have dementia but you know old age. If I created another work like this I may have him on a different we instead of his run and have like a ball throwing in the air and him going after it. my work shows that I learned how to use my daily patterns in photography which is taking my dog out and bonding more with him.
