Unique Lighting

I’m calling this project, The Lights because I did not want to call it just the light I liked how it sounded with the s added on. The subject is a warm light-based of unique lighting. I chose to create this specific work because these lights are different then normal light these are more rustic and they give off an orangeish yellow hue to it. For materials, I used one of my lights, my camera. I used a variety of techniques and methods including adding a warm filter to add to the saturation. While creating this work, I paid close attention to the lines in the light bulb by focusing the camera on the inside of the light. I wanted my artwork to look rustic and I did that by taking a photo of my light that shines a darkish yellow/orange color. To add interest to my composition, I used color by adding a warm filter to make the color of the pop more in the center of the light. I like the way the light looks and I am proud of how the “bubbles” blurred so that they would not take away from the main focus of my photo. However, I struggled with finding a different idea for this project. If I created another work like this I may try something that glows in the dark My work shows that I learned how to capture unique lighting.
