Primary Colors

Primary Flowers

I’m calling this project, Primary flowers because I used jellybeans that were primary colors and put them into the shape of flowers. The subject is the three piles of jellybeans based on the shapes of flowers. I chose to create this specific work because I got a recommendation from someone, to make them into flowers. For materials, I used red jellybeans, yellow jellybeans, and blue jellybeans, black box, white light. While creating this work, I paid close attention to getting the colors correct by having a primary color weel with me while taking the photo. I wanted my artwork to look colorful and I did that by using the primary colors. To add interest to my composition, I used jellybeans and put them in the shape of flowers. I like the way the flowers came out and I am proud of how the colors show. However, I struggled with putting the jellybeans into the shape of the flowers because they kept rolling away. If I created another work like this I may change where the flowers were so they were lined up of more centered. My work shows that I learned what primary colors are.
