Monochromatic

Blue

I’m calling this project, Blue because for my monochromatic color I choose blue and I used blueberries. The subject is blue-based off a pile of blueberries with a cool filter. I chose to create this specific work because I wanted to show that the blueberries are cold with a blue filter to show the coolness. For materials, I used blueberries, and a black box, a white light. I used a variety of techniques and methods including adding filters, making all the blue is the photo stand out, adding temperatures. While creating this work, I paid close attention to only having blue and only one type of blue by adding a cool filter and highlighting all the blues in the photo. I wanted my artwork to look monochromatic and I did that by only have blue for the colors in the photo.

To add interest to my composition, I used color by adding and enhancing the blues in my photo.

I like the way Everything is the same color, in a way, except for the shadows, the shadows are darker. However, I struggled with finding a different object to take a photo with that was not food. If I created another work like this I may use a person wearing all one color and add a color layer to the photo. My work shows that I learned how to add temperatures to my photos so that they dont all look the same.
