Leading Lines

Aisle 13

I’m calling this project, Aisle 13 because in this photo I am in Aisle 13 and this is an aisle that I thought would not have many people going in and out of but I was wrong when I was trying to take a photo people would walk in the aisle and just stand there looking at cards for a long time and I wasn’t going to be rude and ask them to leave.

The subject is of this photo is based on a lot of Jordan Matters photos of dancers who are flexible. I chose to create this specific work because I wanted to have at least one photo of myself doing any pose that was related to dancing. For materials to create the final image, I used photoshop, I used a shopping cart to hold up my camera so I could start the timer and have the camera leveled correctly. I used a variety of techniques and methods including formal balance

While creating this work, I paid close attention to showing the Leading Lines by using formal balance. I wanted my artwork to look blurry in the back and have me and the shelves sharp and I did that by using the blur and sharpen tool. I used the same method to add interest to my photo.

However, I struggled with getting photos with put people in it or getting clear images.

If I created another work like this I may choose a different location instead of a busy store and maybe do something

My work shows that I learned how to edit my photos on photoshop instead of just editing on the photos app.
