sustained investigation 3

Sadness

the story of this final piece of artwork in the 3 designs of the sustained investigation is supposed to show sadness and a state of being down. This project relates to my life because it was a picture I took and also it was a mood I feel throughout the day so I portrayed that through the landscape and color choices in this artwork.

This specific artwork was mad generally the same way as the first sustained investigation. I used a ruler and pencil to border the project, then I also used the pencil to draw a thin and light outline of the mountains so I knew the general shape I wanted to create. After I painted over the whole paper with blue for a background color then after I filled in with more layers and colors to show the real emotion through the artwork.

The processes I used to create this final piece of artwork was just kind of change as I go. What I mean by this is that I wasn't quite sure at the beginning where I wanted to take this project individually so I took it step by step and reviewed where I was every few minutes to make sure I was still generally happy with how my work was coming out. My project evolved a little bit throughout the time I had to work on it, this is because before, the mountains didn't have the bluish tints to it so I added that in to make it look a little more realistic but also to make it have more of a sadness feel. If I were to go back into this project I think I would add a few more details to the sky because there are a lot of empty spaces.
