Grazing Giraffe
10" x 7"
The basic story behind my artwork is about a giraffe who is just living its life in the wilderness. My project relates to my life because the ink marks that were made spoke to me and how it was being held up in front of me really looked like a giraffe to me so I decided to take upon that and turn it into a giraffe.
The work was made originally with ink to make the Oops aspect of the project. After that, I used a pencil to put my imagination on the paper by creating an outline of the giraffe. After that once again I used colored pencils to make the giraffe have color and also to make it not in the clouds floating around so I made him in the woods or wilderness as its habitat.
In my piece of artwork I decided to add some color because I wanted the picture to have a little more meaning, texture, value, balance and contrast. I also wanted to brighten up the picture so it wasn’t as boring or unrealistic. My next steps could be add more animals and wildlife behind the main giraffe so it looks more like the wilderness.
