midterm prompt

For this project we were asked to draw and create a complete image within these given 20 circles. For the story behind this artwork, it's basically that there is a dolphin in the ocean swimming freely. This project relates to my life because I really love dolphins so I decided to draw one. This project also relates to my life because I decided what I wanted the project to be and how I wanted it to come out.

The materials I used for this project are pretty simple. I used the paper given with the 20 circles already on it,I used a 2B pencil to outline the dolphin and how I wanted it to be, then I used water color pencils to fill in the circles with the correct colors I wanted. Next I used a paint brush and water to smudge the color to fill the whole circle so the blue looked like water and the dolphin looked grayish without white showing.

The processes I used to create this final piece of artwork was just finding out what I wanted to do, drew it, then added color with the tool and materials I decided to use. My project evolved in the 90 minute time frame because before I had just the one center dolphin that looked a little lonely. Once I noticed this I decided I should add something else to take up more space and so the dolphin wasn't as lonely. Because of this I decided to add in a dolphin tail in the top write corner. If I were to go back in and work on this project a little more I think I would make the water look more realistic because right now I could say that it looks a little messier than I would have liked.
