Organ and Tissue Donation

In my project the story that is visually evident is that it is a positive thing to donate your organs. I decided to show this through my art project by the saying "Chameleons can change color, and you can change a life with organ and tissue donation" because I thought it was a cool and creative way to get the point across that could also have a cool piece of art too. My project relates to my life because I made it and because I want to be and may be an organ donor so I can relate to it.

This work was made by magazines and collaging them all together. At first I wanted to do stipple but then that was taking too much time so I decided to do collage so I could get the color and also a cool effect that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I also used a 2B pencil to create the sketch and outline the whole project so I got a general idea as to what I wanted to do before putting on the magazine pieces.

The process I used to create my work was first creating a border, then I outlined the general idea I had in my head, after a little while I used a light box to trace it on another piece of paper because I wanted to restart with the same idea and outline. After I started to put on the magazines I cut them out and glued them onto the paper in the space I provided. My project evolved because like I said before I began with doing stipple and changed my mind to do collage so it would go a little fast and not get me as mad. If I were to go back I would want to get better pieces of magazine so it was cooler colors throughout the whole project. I also want to organize it a little better but I can't because the pieces of paper are glued on.
