I used multiple pencils to create this portrait. I started off by gridding the paper into 1 inch pieces. Next, I used each square to help me make this as realistic as possible. I started from left to right, drawing each piece individually, matching it to the photo. I used 2H, 4B, 6B, and HB pencils to create different shades of dimension. I made sure to draw darker grey to make it match the photo. Instead of outlining the shapes, I used shadow to show the shapes. My favorite part about this piece was trying to figure out how realistic I can make this. My least favorite part about this was the hair because it was difficult to draw it realistically. If I were to do this again, I would draw the lines darker.
