Marker, colored pencil on Print Making Paper
To create this artwork, I started with real candy and placed them on a piece of paper to take a picture of. Next, I sketched the shapes of the candy onto a piece of printmaking paper. After I had the outline of each piece of candy, I went over it with colored pencils and markers to add vibrance and detail to the candy. To complete this piece, I used a highlight pen to add highlights and a dark marker to add shading to this. When I thought I was done, I realized the paper had blank spots. I solved this by adding more peppermints and smarties to the paper. If I were to do this project again, I would make sure to use more colors so they weren't so solid. Overall, I enjoyed this project even though it could be frustrating.
