Abstract Gradient

I used 84 colors to make this painting. My goal was to use these 84 colors to create a gradient effect from light to dark of each color. I was trying to figure out how I can separate all of these colors to make them their individual shade and to not mix them.

The main material I used to make this was acrylic paint. I used a black background and a white outline to make the colors stand out to look brighter. I mixed each color with black and white to make them lighter to darker which is what made this gradient. I used a white paint pen to make the white outline and the rest was made out of acrylic paint on canvas paper.

A struggle I faced while making this piece was trying my best to not make the colors translucent. It was very difficult to make the yellow a solid color because it was so thin. To fix this problem, I went over each color two-three times to make them thicker.
