Artist Statement:

for this photo, I was thinking about what I have started to do because of the virus. I came up with the idea of taking a photo of my running shoes. When I was lining up the shot I wanted to include the asphalt under them to add an interesting texture to it. I then chose to tilt the camera, this just made the shoes sit at a more interesting angle. I also thought that tilting the camera also made the background more interesting because of the slanted horizon.

When I took the shot I was going to put into photoshop but I wasn't sure what to edit. However, when I was going to launch photoshop, I got an error so I chose to not edit it and fix the problem after I uploaded the photo. Overall I like the photo, I think that the camera being angled helped the photo.
