Artist statement:

For this photo, I knew it would be similar to the monochromatic in the way that there was going to be an obvious color "theme". What I mean by that is that there was going to be mostly one color with different shades of it. I chose to do it off of blue honestly because it is my favorite color and I just like how blue shots look. When I was taking the shot I chose to set up most of the color before putting it in photoshop. I did this by just using blue objects as my subjects, easy enough. When I was getting the blue objects I was trying to get a range of different values so the photo was not just monochromatic. I got my subjects took the photo and put it into photoshop.

When I was editing it I didn't have to do much. What I did was crop the image down, then I used the burn and dodge tools in order to lighten and darken areas around the image. Overall I like this image, I think that the shiny metal is a good contrast sort of thing to the blue fabric around the rest of the shot.
