Artist Statement:

I believe that the clone stamp tool cand revive a picture, or at least make it a bit better to look at. The way the clone stamp tool works is by taking a part of the picture and coping it to the new location, covering anything in its way. The reason that I say it can fix an image is because it can cover eye-sores. As you can see in my clone stamp image, there was this speaker that was in the way of the pole. THis made the image not as interesting because you could not see the pole all the way. So I used the clone stamp and got rid of it. Now you can see all the way up the pole making the image better in my opinion.

With the overlay tool I think that it can make a photo more abstract, this in turn can make it quite interesting to look at. Because of the abstract look of the picture it can make you want to look at it longer just because it is not something that you see everyday. The way that you do this in photoshop is very simple. You layer the two pictures on top on each other and then just use the different overlaying presets and pick one that looks good to you. After that just flatten the image and your done. It's a simple process to make the image more interesting.
