For this photo, I wanted to push the idea of digital surveillance. So I knew I wanted this photo to come from a "security camera" that was set up. When I was taking the photo I wanted the camera to be shooting to this location. This would mean that the subject would be able to be doing something that makes you wonder what they are doing and why a camera is trained on them. When I was taking the photo I set up the camera on top of a bookshelf and put a 10-second timer on it. I started the timer and got into position. After I took the photo I put it into photoshop.
In photoshop I layered a security camera overlay onto my image. As for my image, I first set it to black and white in order to keep the theme of a camera's point of view. Next, I lowered the brightness and lowered the contrast. After this, I was all set. I flattened the image and exported it. Overall I like the image I probably could have made the image a little more grainy so it looks more like it came from a security camera.
