Artist Statement:

I was not sure what I wanted to do for this shot. My first thought was a picture of a foot, I would use photoshop to add a hole in the foot where a circuit board is inside the foot. I took the photos and started to edit. However, I just was not happy with the edit. I could not get the hole to look natural. So I ended up re-doing the photo and I got what I have now. When I started the photo I wanted to have a circuit board attached to my leg with wires that were running around it and into it. I ended up not being able to do that because of the size of the boards that I had around. SO I ended up having the board on the ground with smaller wires running into my leg.

Once I started to shoot I wanted to create a confusing feel with the wires. So what I ended up doing was running wires not just into my leg but also around it. I set up wires around my leg and foot as well. This was just to add to the confusion.

I didn't think that there was going to be much editing but I played around with the inverse colors and I ended up liking a setting where it looks like there are blue filters that are being cast from the electronics. I think that image is fine but I do like the edit as it just makes it more interesting.
