Surrelist Collage

This artwork shows both my love for the forrest coupled with my love of Lacrosse. It shows a Lacrosse helmet on the side of a mountain in a bush. I feel like it almost reunits the sport with where it was created. The forrest. Like I said, this project combines my love of both the woods and Lacrosse. Thats how it relates to me. Since the pictures combine a skiing magazine and a Lacrosse magazine I'm basicly in my element in multipule ways. Ilove skiing and I love Lax. The original collage was made useing pictures cut from a skiing magazine and a Lacrosse magazine, then glued to the paper useing Elmers Liquid School Glue which is clear, washable, and as an added bonus, great for making slime. As for the piece itself, I used pencils to outline everything, making sure to take careful notice of all shapes, then I colored the whole thing in with colored pencils trying to be as carful as I could. It did not take long for me to come up with this idea. I just decided to combine two things I love which seems to be the base for most of my projects. I then followed your directions to complete the project. My project evolved so much. Originaly I was going to use the entire fish section of a pet magazine to create fish in space. That seemed a little to outrageous so I decided to go with cats driving tanks. After a series of interesting internet searches and about nine strange other rabbit holes, I settled on Lacrosse in the mountains. I belive that my next steps will be using what I have learned from this piece of art to better my other art projects for the rest of the school year.
