Assembledge Project

For this work I chose a chicken. Now that is because finally, I am getting chickens. I chose to model it after a chicken that I will call shea-kan. I then chose to shoot it with my bow just because I wanted the practice. My project relates to my life because I have always wanted to get chickens, but until now my parents have said no. They have now said yes and I get to get chickens. That's why I made a chicken. For this piece of art I used a tomato sauce can for the head, bottle caps for eyes, a yellow milk bottle cap for the beak, the milk bottle it came from for the body, and red colored paper for the wings, tail, and whatever that red thing on its head is called. In order to create this piece of art I had to think about what I would like to do for a long while. Eventually my brother gave me the idea that because we are getting chickens I should make a chicken. It didn't take that long to come up with the idea for how to make it. I just based it off of a chicken cartoon I had drawn that day. Originally I was thinking of creating a cat or a dog or some kind of household pet, but then my brother gave me the idea to create a chicken. I liked that idea a lot more than a cat or a dog because even though I have multiple cats and a guinea pig, I figured it would be a better idea to focus on the goal. I think my next step will be to mount its head on my wall to celebrate my kill. :)
