Art History Inspired

This project was made with inspiration from the street artist banksy’s political activism and sandro botticelli's religious subject matter. The picture puts emphasis on the fact that the church supports the president when he does horrible things like pulling children away from their parents at the border. It shows the child's tears providing color and life to the opposite side of the picture as if it's feeding the scene. The work was made using pencil, colored pencils, a ruler and a tortillon. I chose to create this art because it fits my beliefs and definitely shows why the church shouldn’t support the president. Originally I had no idea how to do this. I had no Idea’s and was having a really hard time doing it. It didn’t really evolve much after that point though. It was basically meant to be like it is the whole time. This project really reflects my beliefs well which is how it relates to my life. I think that I really enjoy banksy's art style because its graffiti which I love. I definitely will continue to use this style of art.
