For this project we had to take 18 portraits of someone, 2 of each category (Capture a moment - Place model in their native environment, Use a prop - Use a prop to add interest to your photo, Pose/Unusual viewpoint - Try different poses, positions, & angles, Backlight your subject - Have model face away from sun, Incorporate shadows/Extreme lighting - Find interesting patterns or set up lights to cast subtle/strong shadows on model, Get up close - Find details of subject & intentionally crop out composition, Get serious - Avoid smiling or laughing & have subject look serious or pensive, Use pattern - Use patterned backdrop, accessories, clothing, etc. to bring excitement/contrast to your photos, & Frame your subject - Capture model looking through something or use a frame to bring focus to model). Then we had to edit those photos using the photo app & show the edits we made. For my model/subject for this project, I chose my friend Alley since she's taken the class before, was willing to have her photos taken, and I see her mostly everyday (except for the weekend).Â
