Scratchboard

For my scratchboard value strip, I first made a rectangle shape, then made lines on it to divide it into little squares. After I did that, I started to color them in. For the first square I made it very white and made it less and less white until I got to the end and it had no white on it at all. To make my realistic scratchboard drawing, I first took a photo of the thing I wanted to draw. I chose to draw my cat. Then I looked at the photo as a reference and started scratching. I added some finishing touches at the end, then I was done.
