In these pieces we used the negative space, or white spaces in the drawings to interpret something. Especially in the negative leaf drawing and the negative hand drawing you can really see the picture. I really enjoyed these they look pretty cool as well. These projects are hard to relate to my life other than the hand drawing because its my hand.

The three of these pieces were all made differently, for example, for the negative leaves piece, I used leaves opposed to hands such as the negative hand one. Though the materials used were no different throughout besides the leaves. In all three I used graphite, and in the negative leaves I used graphite and colored pencils.

The process I used for each drawing was based on the assignment. I outlined the leaves for the leaves while they lay flat on a table, while I outlined my hand as I held it up in a gesture. For the zentangle, I started with the circle then built inwards from there filling in each section with a pattern. For my hand and leaves projects they both evolved in the same way, first the outline, then the outside filling. And for the zentangle, first the outline, then the inside filling. My next steps for the leaves and hands would be to add positive space I suppose, and for the zentangle, to add color.
