Zine

While I really like the idea of this project, and projects similar to this, I always find difficulty in the execution and am disappointed in the result. While I personally like some of the art in my zine, it doesn't feel like my style, or something other people will like. In truth, I got into art because I wanted attention for something, my brother was younger and my sister was smarter, and that feeling is still in the back of my head somewhere.

This was frustrating, but that has been a pattern the last through months, and something I addressed in the first two pages. When I wasn't contemplating destroying this and starting over, I was using a fine brush pen and some technical pens, along with colored pencils to create some images. I don't know, maybe someday I'll like them.

I wish this process was more fluid, and I was son insecure about both the content and the images, and this really was total self expression. If this artist statement is too short, please tell me, because I'm sure I can make something about the 'deep meaning' up sometime.
