The view was amazing, so high up in the clouds.
Going through custody was very stressful, people were rushing to put their belongings on the table. Many sweaty feet with a sweet musty odor in the air, including myself honestly. Stepping off the plane was worse than coming in, dogs barking, the pushing of anxious passengers, and worse of all the conveyor belt, the experience was horrific. I mean I thought our belongings were going to get robbed. It was open for everyone to just grab bags, and it was continuously moving, so not a single person could check if the bag was theirs, and the rush of people leaving the airport was astonishing. They were like ants finding their way to a food heaven, it was incredibly crowded with kids, elderly, and middle aged parents.
My parents and I safely got to the taxi port and hopped in the car, to the nearest hotel. The taxi were strange and small , and the taxi driver gave us weird looks as if we were some strange foreign alien. I read one of my mom’s magazines about Europe , it was filled with pictures of many different cultures, foods, tourist sites, and some paintings. That's when I remembered that I wasn't here for vacation, I was here on a mission and that was to attend a boarding school. As a young chemist I must listen to what my aunt has said to me ¨¡Estudié mucho porque siempre valdrá la pena!¨. I always thought it was a common saying , Study hard cause it will pay off, or expecting more responsibility. She was obviously my favorite aunt, she got a science kit for my 8th birthday. It was an amazing present, one of my favorite presents. besides my lab coat. I miss my aunt, she promised me that she would come cheer me on after I graduate from this high school. I turn to the window and view the night sky of Switzerland that looks so similar to the one in Mexico. The taxi car slowly stops and turns into a big high-rise building with lights plating all over the building. The hotel looked very expensive but it seems to be the hotel my parents were looking for. I have to say that Building was very pretty, the gold shimmering with the lights, the room lights that glared over the city, and the big yellow sign that said “Hilton”. As we made our way past the lobby and into the lift, heading straight to the top of the building. The viewing was nice coming from a high perspective, my parents immediately sent me to bed to get ready for school the next day. My excitement turned into butterflies turning in my stomach. That very morning we woke up, got dressed into school uniform and made our way straight down to the taxi service, hopping in and heading straight to the boarding school. We drove by big trees and approached an iron gate. The taxi driver drove off the next minute after we opened the gate. The walk to the entrance of the school was not as bad as it looked. After the big entrance with the big oak door the principal of the school seemed to have a good liking to my family, which was a good first impression. The classrooms were nice, the teachers were polite, and I loved the history about the school. The bell rang which meant I was to head to my first class at this school. It was my language class. As I walked into the classroom there were a lot of new faces, and their eyes were staring at me. One kid looked at me with a starling look as if I was dog crap stuck on the sidewalk. I knew immediately that this kid did not want me here and that made me kind of upset. Some kids were nice and showed me what was expected in class and the rules. One kid was pretty interested in me, “ What is your name?” he said. “Mario” I replied back, “cool my name is Ryan and this is my friend Katey.” They seemed like siblings but I was glad that I had met them both. It felt really nice that I was in Switzerland at a boarding school making friends. At the end of the day I walked past a trophy case of all different kinds of trophies, there were some with sports, math assemblies, and one that really caught my eye, chemistry. The next moment I ran to the taxi that my parents called for me, and headed straight to the hotel, rushing my way to the room. I ran back to our room, jumping over bath towels and made my way to the window telephone.
