2023/24

Wolsey House who achieved the most house points last half term and have been awarded with a Mufti Day on Friday 23rd February. Any child belonging to Wolsey House may wear their own choice of clothes on Friday. 

Abby Hudson (3H), who competed in the trampolining regional grades level 1 age 7-8 in Gillingham on Sunday. This was her first trampoline competition and she did two brilliant routines, winning the gold medal.

Muybridge House who raised the most money for the Skip-a-Thon last term and have been awarded with a Mufti Day this Friday 12th January. Any child belonging to Muybridge House may wear their own choice of clothes on Friday. (Please ensure all mufti items are named).

Picton House who achieved the most house points last half term and have been awarded with a Mufti Day on Wednesday 17th January. Any child belonging to Picton House may wear their own choice of clothes next Wednesday. (Please ensure all mufti items are named).

Mixed Tag Rugby Team: Daniel Fan, Jacob Kumpha, Rania Nassuna, Oliver Rigby, Phoebe Rylett (6B), Thea Bossley, James Clack, Ayinza Igaga and Eleanor Thornton (6S) who, last Monday, headed to Dinton for a Tag Rugby festival against local schools. They had a fantastic morning developing their skills and competing against other schools. They weathered the muddy conditions well and even picked up a couple of wins along the way.

Year 6 Boys Football Team: Oliver Crowe, Jacob Kumpha (6B), James Espiner, Idris Idris, Konstantin Karatosic, Timothy Madanat, Emile Stevenet-Sheehy (6S) who, last Thursday, were entered into the borough 5-a-side football tournament. Despite the Arctic conditions, the boys gave a good account of themselves and managed to get to the quarter finals. A special mention must go to Timothy for some outstanding displays in goal and to Emile for producing many a dazzling moment on the wing against some tricky opposition.

Year 5/6 Athletics Team: Louisa Deveson, Ruby Hudgell, Sunny Hurtado-Hide, Emily Pope (5BC), Yutalo Appiah, Edie Cassidy, Tiam Fouladvand, Elliott Fox, Bella Harcourt, Charlie Hudson (5H), Georgia Buchner, Jasmine Cheng, Oliver Crowe, Cordelia Perry, Florence Pinckney, Rio Wilson-Fuller (6B), Idris Idris, Konstantin Karatosic, Lucy Milloy, Emile Stevenet-Sheehy (6S), who participated in the borough Indoor Athletics competition at The Kingston Academy on Thursday 9th November. 12 schools entered from across Kingston and the St Paul's Athletic team managed to bring home third place! It was a wonderful afternoon of competition where the team performed fantastically across all events. 

A special mention must go to Elliott Fox (5H) and Rio Wilson-Fuller (6B) for producing the furthest javelin throw and long jump attempt this year, respectively. We look forward to seeing what the team can produce when the summer season comes around.

Thomas Crowe (4R) for competing in a recent rugby tournament with his club Old Emanuel’s. They won three and lost one. New players, girls and boys, age 5-18, always welcome. Training on Sundays at Raynes Park Sports Ground.

Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition 2023. Well done to all those who entered the Mayor's Christmas card competition. Congratulations to Lincoln Lovering in Chestnut class and Monty Lazenby in Sycamore class who were highly commended by the judges for their designs.

Ben West (Maple Class) did a sponsored cycle for his old nursery’s charity Bright Spaces:
He raised £120 for the charity and has lots of fun doing it.

Oliver Crowe (5J) who was a double silver medallist at the Kingston Royals Swimming Gala on Friday evening, coming second in both the breaststroke and backstroke events.

Myles Boatswain (5H), who achieved a merit in his recent Grade 3 Piano and a distinction in both his Grade 1 Trumpet and Music Theory.

Alex Muir (6S), who came 1 st in a lego building competition and has qualified to compete in the national championship. Alex had to build a robot that could solve 15 different challenges. He attends ‘Beyond Blocks’, an afterschool club run by Andrew Hoang who joined us for assembly today.

Alexander Henderson-Osho (6B), won the Hawker Centre FA Cup Tennis 2022 Green ball tournament winning the final match 6 games to 3.

Ruby Hudgell (4R) was invited by her football coach to act as a mascot for Chelsea Women in their Champions League match against Real Madrid. Ruby walked out onto the pitch with the players for the line-up and the anthem, and had an exclusive meet with the players including England Lionesses Millie Bright and Fran Kirby after the game. Chelsea won 2-0.

Alex Lin (5B) and Mia Lin (2S) who were awarded the Winners of the Own Choice Piano Duet (10 years & under) at the Kingston upon Thames Festival of the Performing Arts. They will receive the Rosalind Lucas-Smith Cup for the Own Choice Piano Duet at the concert and prize giving on the 10th December.

Ledua Lumley (4R) who climbed Snowdon at the weekend and kindly donated money to Cancer Research. He walked up the Llanberis path and walked down again. Well done Ledua.

The Year 5 and 6 children who participated in Bikeability over the last couple of weeks. The coaches commended the children on their manners and good behaviour.

Eloise Hudson (6S), who competed in the British Gymnastics South East Regional Zinc competition at Guildford Spectrum. She performed on the bar, beam, floor and vault. She won the individual all round gold medal which was an amazing result. She also won team gold with her Tolworth teammates.

Oliver Crowe and James Espiner (5B) who completed in a gala held by Kingston Royal swimming club. James won gold in breast stroke and Oliver won Silver for the age 9 group.

Wolsey House: who achieve the most house points last half term and have been awarded with a Mufti Day Thursday 10th November. 

Alexander Henderson-Osho (6B), who was runner-up at the yellow ball US Open Hawker Tennis championships.

Hockey Team: Zachary Jones, Caden Obomhense (3H), Kieran Barnes, Ha-Kyoung Seo (3P), Safeer Mir, Isabel Valero (4CF), Ryeen Akbari and Valerie Kuznetsova (4R), who joined in with the Kingston Hockey Festival at Surbiton Hockey Club on Wednesday 5th October. They enjoyed a fantastic morning of coaching from the club and then some games against the other schools. The children had a great time and managed to win two of their four games. A very fun learning experience for our budding hockey players.

Year 5/6 Cross Country Team: Mia Buchner, Oliver Crowe (5B), Georgia Buchner, Isla Hayman (5H), Bella Cassidy, Charlie Deveson, Konstantin Karatosic (6B), Ryleigh Alderton, James Ho and Eloise Hudson (6S) who last week participated in the Borough Cross Country competition at Ditton Fields. We took a team of 12 to the competition and were competing against 19 other schools from the borough. Each race consisted of over 220 children and damp conditions made the course slightly precarious. The whole team did incredibly well against high quality opponents and all managed to complete the tough 3km course. A special mention to the following children for outstanding performances. Konstantine finishing 31st, James 21st, Bella 16th, Eloise 11th and Charlie D with an amazing 7th place finish. A great morning for the team and we look forward to building on these results next year!

2021/22

OUR SAT RESULTS 2022

Our reading, writing and maths results were significantly above national levels and all above local (Kingston and Richmond) levels.

We are enormously proud of Year 6 and Year 2 pupils, their teachers and their teaching assistants.

Emily Gibbs (4P) who has been selected as one of the winners in the Kingston Magical Market design competition.  Emily’s character Skylar - purveyor of peculiar pets - will be one of 12 creatures brought to life in 3D through the Augmented Reality trail in Kingston town centre. 

Julia Henderson-Osho (1S) who's artwork has also been selected as one of 12 winners of the Kingston Magical Market Design Competition.  She is so excited! Her design, Rona Rainbow, will be brought to life in 3D on an augmented reality trail in Kingston Town Centre.  A team of animators are turning her design into a moving, dancing, wiggling 3D creation, which launched last week. People will be able to see the magic through a special app and discover where the creatures can be found across Kingston.

Autumn 1st half term RE Awards:  Well done to the children named below for showing a reflective attitude within RE lessons and for being curious about the world around them.  These are new awards which will be given out each half term as a way to keep the profile of RE at St Paul's high.

Wilson House who were awarded the most house points for last half term. 

They are being rewarded with a Mufti Day on Friday 6th November. All children who belong to Wilson House  may wear their own choice of clothes on this day.
