Dear St. Michael Families,

I hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful, restful summer filled with time together and many special memories. While summer offers a welcome change of pace for our students, it has been a busy and exciting season here at school as we prepare for another incredible school year!

In June, our instructional staff participated in professional development to continue strengthening our instructional practices and growing as educators. We also spent valuable time reflecting on our successes, setting goals for the 2026 - 2027 school year, and discussing new ways to best serve our students and families. I am grateful to work alongside such dedicated teachers who are deeply committed to both academic excellence and the mission of Catholic education.

Behind the scenes, our facilities team has also been hard at work preparing our campus for the new school year. From thoroughly cleaning classrooms and common areas to completing maintenance projects, caring for our beautiful grounds, and continuing to enhance our school safety initiatives, they have worked diligently to ensure that St. Michael is a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for our students, staff, and families. We are grateful for their dedication and the many ways they help make St. Michael a place where our children can learn and thrive.

Staff Updates

I am delighted to share that we have welcomed two outstanding educators to the St. Michael family.

Mrs. Cheyenne Risher will be joining our faculty as a fourth grade teacher. Mrs. Risher is a certified educator, a current St. Michael parent, and an active member of our parish community. We are excited to have her enthusiasm, dedication, and love for Catholic education as part of our team.

We are also thrilled to welcome Mrs. Tonya Artman as our new middle school science teacher. Mrs. Artman brings 27 years of teaching experience in biology, environmental science, and integrated physics. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has also served as a NASA liaison. Her passion for science, combined with her wealth of experience, will be a tremendous blessing to our middle school students.

Please join me in welcoming these highly qualified educators as they join in our shared commitment to nurturing our students both academically and spiritually.

As August approaches, our excitement continues to grow! I look forward to seeing many of you at Back-to-School Knight on Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. It will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, meet teachers, visit classrooms, and begin another year together.

Thank you for the trust you place in St. Michael School each day. Your partnership, encouragement, and commitment to our school are among St. Michael's greatest blessings. It is truly a privilege to serve as your principal, and I am filled with gratitude and excitement for all that God has in store for our school family this year.  May God continue to bless you and your family throughout the remainder of the summer. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for what promises to be an outstanding school year!

Very Respectfully,

Mrs. Conliffe
