Dear Families of St. Michael School,

As I shared earlier this fall, we have renewed our commitment to safety at St. Michael. Across our school, parish, and daycare, we are working together to ensure that every student and family feels secure in the places where they learn, worship, and spend their days. One of our first major initiatives is adding safety film to every ground-level window on every building across our campus. This effort is part of our Safe Today, Strong Tomorrow campaign. We are excited to participate in #iGiveCatholic this Giving Tuesday (December 2), and Advanced Giving is now open. Your support during this special campaign will help us reach our safety goals more quickly. Every contribution, no matter the size, moves us closer to strengthening and protecting the spaces that mean so much to our community. I hope you will consider being part of something meaningful, lasting, and deeply impactful.

2026/2027 Re-enrollment

Re-enrollment for returning students (Preschool 3’s–7th grade) will open on December 1st. We will send out an email link with more information.

Applications for new students will open on January 1st.

Parents — please note that the re-enrollment form will ask for your child’s Sacramental Information (Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation, if applicable).

Please have the following details ready:
• Church name
• City and state
• Date of the sacrament

For any sacraments not completed, you may type N/A and select date the form is completed for each Sacrament not received.

Wild Knight Gala

On February 7, 2026, St. Michael Catholic School will host our 22nd annual Wild Knight Gala (Taste of St. Michael) — the premier fundraiser for our school community. Guests will enjoy dinner, a silent auction, casino-style games, raffles, music, and dancing.

This year, our goal is $70,000—and we need partners like you to make it happen!

This is the only fundraiser of the year that directly supports our school. Proceeds this year will fund safety improvements and provide new tools to educate and enrich our students.

Sponsorship is more than support—it’s an opportunity to connect your brand with a vibrant, engaged community.

Auditions:
Tuesday, December 9 & Thursday, December 11, 3:00–4:00 PM in the Music Room.
Open to 4th–8th grade.
• 6th–8th: eligible for speaking/solo roles
• 4th–5th: audition for ensemble roles (jocks, thespians, brainiacs, cheerleaders, party kids)
➤ Students attend one audition day.

Callbacks (by invitation):
Tuesday, December 16, 3:00–4:00 PM
Students considered for lead roles will read scenes with others.

Cast List Posted:
After Mass on Thursday, December 18 outside the Music Room.

First Cast Meeting & Read-Through:
Thursday, December 18, 3:00–4:30 PM
All cast members attend. Bring a snack, highlighter, and pencil.

Performance Dates:
• Evening Show: Thursday, March 26 at 7:00 PM
• Matinee: Saturday, March 28 at 2:00 PM

Information Packets & Audition Materials
Students may pick up an Information Packet from Mrs. Smithson during music class or after 2:00 PM starting Monday, November 17, or print a copy at home.
The packet includes the full rehearsal/performance calendar and the audition/season commitment form.

All adults planning to coach, volunteer at school, or chaperone field trips must have their Safe Environment Training complete along with a background check on file with the Parish Office.

First time SET must be taken in person and must be renewed every five years. There is an online renewal option for those that have previous SET on file.

The tuition assistance application for the 2026–2027 school year is now open www.ceflou.org.

Parents/guardians will need their 2024 federal tax return and 2024 W-2s to complete the application.

Application Fee: $35
Deadline for Initial Round Consideration: November 30, 2025
Award Notifications: No later than March 1, 2026
