This year we had several Scouts from Saint Michael Pack 765 earn their Catholic Religious Awards, which were presented at the Cathedral of the Assumption, on Sunday, January 26th.
Ryan Cundiff, Charlie Grainger, Zachary Grainger, Zoey Hargrove, and Elliot Molter, earned their Parvuli Dei. This award can be earned by a Catholic Cub Scout in third, fourth or fifth grade. Zachary and Elliot earned it in third grade while the others earned it in fourth grade. Since Ryan, Charlie and Zach were unable to attend the Prayer Service and Religious Awards Presentation on the 26th, they were presented with them by Father Peter during the Scout Sunday Mass on February 2nd.
We want to congratulate these Scouts on their achievement and thank Father Peter for meeting with the Scouts and being part of their earning these awards.
This year we also had three Saint Michael’s eighth graders earn their Ad Altare Dei. This award can be earned by a Catholic Scout after they turn 13. Carter Graff, Matthew Lawrence, and Zach Vanover earned this award after completing the requirements over the course of seven months and then passing a National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS) board of review in January. We want to congratulate them on this achievement!
Congratulations to our Governor’s Cup KAAC District Students!
We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students in their recent Governor’s Cup district level Kentucky Association for Academic Competitions (KAAC) accomplishments. Our Quick Recall team has demonstrated their remarkable intellect and teamwork by securing a third place finish. This accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, knowledge, and perseverance.
We are incredibly proud of our students who excelled in the KAAC District testing. Congratulations to Matthew L. for scoring 1st in Math and 3rd in Science, Zach V. for 1st in Language Arts and 5th in Science, Alex E. for 1st in Social Studies, Ava B. for 4th in Language Arts. These remarkable results reflect their commitment to academic excellence and their ability to rise to the challenge. Thanks for all of our outstanding students who came out on a Saturday to take academic tests starting at 8:30 am.
As we acknowledge these fantastic accomplishments, we also extend our best wishes to our students as they prepare for the upcoming regional competition on February 15th. We have no doubt that they will continue to excel and make us proud. Good luck, and keep up the great work!
