Conferences are next week! Be sure to sign up with your student's homeroom teacher! Many teachers shared their links in grade-level newsletters already.
If you have not received a link to sign up or your child's teacher is not listed, please reach out to the teacher directly for his/her link.
Students in Ms. Nix's homeroom---parents will receive a separate email shortly from Mrs. Bowman!
Conferences are:
Monday, 10/7 until 5 pm
Tuesday, 10/8 until 7 pm
Wednesday, 10/9 until 5 pm
There is a 12:45 dismissal on Thursday, 10/10. No conferences that day. This begins Fall Break!
Water Bottles
Water Bottles
Families, many of our students bring water bottles to school with them. Some grade levels are planning to transition to translucent only water bottles if students continue to bring drinks such as Gatorade, Prime, sodas, teas, and energy drinks in their bottles. Students will be required to pour out anything that is not water in their bottles. Please help us with this matter; thank you!

Morning Drop Off Reminders
In order to keep our morning drop off running smoothly, we kindly ask that families drop off their students in the correct locations, as this prevents back up in our lines.
If your students are in grades 4-8, please drop off at the church in the circle. If your students are below 4th grade, please drop off at the front of the school building in the circle. Students who are in grades 4-8 WITH younger siblings may be dropped off in lower carpool with their siblings.

2024-2025 Tutor list.pdfKentucky law KRS 159.50 defines a truant as any child who has been absent or tardy for more than three days without a valid excuse. All truants shall be reported by the principal to the Director of Pupil Personnel of the appropriate public school district. The principal will notify the Superintendent at the Office of Catholic Schools.
ABSENCE (Archdiocese of Louisville Policy Handbook):
Students may need to be away from school for illnesses or family situations that arise. These are to be documented as absences. A written excuse stating the reason for absence and signed by the parent or guardian shall be required for all absences. All written excuses shall be kept on file for one school year. Parents/guardians will be encouraged to make appointments for private medical or dental services outside of school time. Local school personnel are encouraged to make arrangements with the parents for continued education for students who are absent for an extended period of time.
Parents will be notified if their student is absent three or more times without a valid excuse.

Please take a look at our updated school handbook. The new uniform & tardy policies are listed and quite a bit of the technology protocols have been updated as well.
We ask that parents and students are mindful of several items:
No step counters or digital watches may be worn (including Apple Watches, Fitbit, Garmin, etc.)
Treats may not be sent in for birthdays--they will be kept in the office and sent back home with the student at the end of the day. This is not a new policy but we do need to remind everyone of this; thank you for your support.
Parents/guardians may not drop off forgotten Chromebooks or iPads for students. They will be kept in the office and given to the student at the end of the day.

Lunch Prices for 2024-2025 school year
-Chick Fil A meal is $6.50, meal will include sandwich or nuggets, vegetables, fruit, and a drink.
-Little Caesars meal is $6.00, meal will include pizza, vegetables, fruit, and drink.
-Regular school lunch is $5.00, meal will include entree, vegetables, fruit, and a drink.
- Snacks are $1.25 each. (Updated 9/2024)
-Water: large bottle is $0.75 each and a small bottle is $0.50 each
-Per the Archdiocese, students may not bring soft drinks or energy drinks of any kind from home for lunch.
Parents, PLEASE check your students' lunch accounts on FACTS to make sure their accounts are funded. If you need instructions on how to fund their account(s), please see below.
Mrs. Mendoza is also needing some volunteers for the lunch line! Please reach out to her at mmendoza@stmichaellouisville.org if you would like to volunteer. Reminder: ALL volunteers must have had their Safe Environment Training and a clear background check prior to volunteering at the school.

All adults planning to volunteer at school or chaperone field trips need to have their Safe Environment training complete along with a background check on file with the Parish Office. Safe Environment training must be renewed every five years. There is an online renewal option for those that have previous Safe Environment training on file.
