Please see the Letter below from Mr. Peak:
I read in a book recently and it helped me reflect about how we feel about ourselves and life decisions. “Happiness is peace in action. And peace is happiness at rest. And neither one has to be perfect to be real.” We choose what gives us happiness and peace. Life does not need to be perfect.
After 48 years in education I have decided to retire at the end of this school year. My 10 years here at St. Michael School has been a marvelous joyful experience. Teaching and learning with your sons and daughters is an experience I will carry with me. St. Michael is an exceptional place to learn and grow in our Catholic Faith as well as becoming lifelong learners. The staff here is one of the best I have experienced during my career in education. Your children and the staff have brought me happiness and peace.
My wife, Carla, retired this past November and we will use retirement to spend time together, taking care of each other, traveling, and relaxing. So I will end this note in the way I concluded most of my classes.
It’s been fun. It’s been real. And it’s been real fun.
May Christ bless you and bring you happiness.
Kevin Peak, Assistant Principal
