Dear Year 7 Student,
I’m in Year 9 and I am going through some difficulties this year. I’m having problems with my organisation and with my grades.
Last trimester my grades were really bad! I always was a good student, but this year I changed a lot. My mom and dad are saying horrible and aggressive things to me and that is making me upset. Not only that, but the teachers that used to make me up, are now doing the opposite.
My mom said that if I have another bad grade, she would punish me until the 3rd trimester!
I would appreciate any help,

Dear Y9 student,
You are in trouble with study, and your parents and teachers are treating you differently because of that. You can be calm, I really understand what is happening with you because it already happened with me too. It is the worst feeling of a student. I’m here to help you by giving you advice. My advice on how to solve your situation is by studying harder. I’m not here to force you to study. But if you study, everything will be solved. Your parent’s and teacher’s treat will be different, your grades will get better and your organisation too.
I think that your problem was caused because of distractions like phone, friends, etc. Anyways, now, I really think that you must look to the future rather than the past. If you are thinking about last trimester, you are really distracted . You keep thinking that you were always a good student but changed and your grades were very bad. It’s okay, you are more okay than you think. I promise. Thinking about negative things makes your day and study worse. It’s okay because if you stop thinking about last trimester, your study will be much calmer. I know you want to get better quickly, that is disturbing you too. You don’t need to be in a hurry. Why don’t you try to take your mind off things and try to relax first? You still have time to achieve your goals. Just try to start all over again without remembering last trimester. Your past is disturbing your study. There is no need to be in a hurry, take your time. Having big decisions about what to do next, doesn’t mean that you need to make it immediately. So you should be calm. After relaxing, you start to study little by little, planning and organising your plan. If you first try to relax and after you start to study little by little, your mind will be organised and prepared to work. According to Kappa On-line, the negative mindset can affect the study by giving anxiety. And with anxiety, it is difficult to study because it distracts you from other thoughts. If this idea doesn’t work, just try to study freely. In your speed. But if I were you, I would relax and after I start studying to not distract my day.
If you get good grades, your parents are proud. What I understood is that you think that your parents are saying rude things to you because of your grades. It is very difficult for both sides. Maintaining your grade is very hard. Parents want the best of their children, they care for you a lot. Also, they want their children to give their best too. When you get good grades, they will be very happy and proud, but when your grades change, they will treat you differently because they will think that you didn’t do your best like you always did. So what about you trying to tell your parents that you need some help? If you tell them about your difficulties, they will try to help you. And it is very important to tell them the truth. And if you start talking to them about studying and spending time, you and your parents will be much happier. According to Vnaya, it says that the parents must help their children to be well in school because it is a very important stage in their lives and the most significant time for a child’s development. It will have a very big impact on their future and society. The parents need to assist their children emotionally and financially to achieve in school and life. If they don’t help you, the only way to make your parents stop being rude with you is by studying or being really nice to them. Asking help is a way to demonstrate interest in what you’re asking, that I show your parents that for you, parents and study matters. I promise, if I were you, I would ask for help from your parents to show them you’re doing your best.
How about asking for help from the teachers too? Maybe they are treating you differently because of your attitude in class. Teachers feel uncomfortable with students who distract people or don’t demonstrate interest in their class. They will feel bad and treat you differently. If you treat your teachers with respect, you are in benefit. Teachers always feel proud of students that respect and talk about study with them. And that makes them want to help you. If you ask for help, the result will be better. Asking for help is always good. You should demonstrate interest in study by asking for help from teachers if you want to get better in studying and build a better connection with them. If you ask for help, you get a better result. According to Studiosity, it is very important to ask for help because it develops a good habit and it builds a connection with the person you asked for help. If you ask for help, you will automatically have a better connection with your teachers and get better in your study. Think, asking for help, you get better in study. Plus, getting better in study will make you and your parents proud. So, what I mean is that asking for help is the best way to solve the problem. If I were you, I would ask for help. Trust me.
When you have difficulties in organisation, you have difficulties in study. Having difficulties in organisation is an important base of everything. What I mean is that if you are not organised, your study will be disorganised. So, how about you write in a planner or agenda what you need to do everyday? It will be difficult for you to remember and do it everyday, however, it will organise yourself better by creating a healthy study routine. And that's very important. My suggestion is to use paper planners because according to School Datebook, with technology becoming more common in the classroom, planning in digital spaces can negatively impact students. The ability to learn valuable time-management is a necessary tool to succeed in school. To earn these abilities, paper planners are the best solution. Planners are important for increasing focus, memory, lowering distractions and student failure rates. If I were you, I would organise myself with a planner.
Ask for help from anyone. Remember it. Asking for help in study is always the best solution. DId you notice that if you study, everything will get better? I don’t want to be rude, but in your case, studying is the solution. If you ask for help, you will get better results, that will make you and your parents proud. But if you ask for help and don’t have interest in improving and are distracted with friends, you will be in trouble. School is a very important part of your life. When time to study, you study, when time to play, you play. There is always a right time. So, take your time. I really hope it works. If you are tired or almost giving up studying, remember that you can do it. Be strong.
Sincerely,
