Dear Year 7 Student,
I am in Year 9, and I feel that I’m more tired than I used to be in the past years. I am dedicated at school, my grades are fine, but I’m feeling very tired and lazy to do chores, practise my hobbies and my social battery is considerably low.
My biggest problem is that I can’t properly balance my school life with my outside life. I focus a lot to get good grades and pass all my classes with excellent grades, but I feel that this year I'm more tired and I haven’t enjoyed my hobbies, even though I really want to. Plus, my posture has worsened significantly, besides not delivering a fe
w pieces of homework in time, and I don’t feel proud of this.
Hope you can help me with advice to balance my school life, as well as improving my posture and tiredness.
Thanks,
Year 9 Student
Dear Y9 student,
Really, this is a normal problem that every single student goes through. Don’t be afraid of it. You are having a school problem right now, for you the school is what only matters. But you are going to see that with some planning, some quiet exercises you are going to get better very soon.
Well, you said that you don’t know how to balance your school life with your outside life and your posture is getting worse to the point that you can’t submit your homework. For those problems, how about making a calendar? So you can plan your weeks and organise it. This will help you to divide your time of your study and homework time with the time of your hobbies. If you had a calendar, you would be relaxed. And like Southuniversity tells us, this solution would probably work and for me, it is one of the best ones that this site offers us.
In the letter, you mentioned as well that you are tired and lazy to do your chores and hobbies. You are probably tired and lazy because of your concentration on school life, right? You can try to make a calendar again, which will help you very much. But how about you try doing a timetable and a night routine that will help you wake up with more energy the next day? For me it really helps doing a timetable so you can organise your time routines. Doing a night routine like not using electronics 2 hours before you go to sleep, or sleeping earlier, If you don’t do a night routine, you will not have so much energy on the next day.
Your social battery is low, right? For this you really should do quiet activities like yoga, reading, and observing. If you don’t do those things, you don’t have your social battery recharged. One of the things that let you have a low social battery is stress, like medicalnewstoday tells us, and for this, quiet activities are the best solution.
You could see that with planning and with quiet exercises that are very simple tasks you can be better soon. But if none of those activities work, try to look for a psychologist or for some school friend, teacher or coordinator.
Sincerely,
Y7 - Melissa Z.
