Using automated workflows can increase our work efficiency. Have you considered creating a shortcut for repetitive tasks?
Shortcuts promote critical thinking in our students with regards to the possibility of increasing productivity by applying computational skills to real life problems. The Shortcuts app is the bridge between block based programming and a text based language. Shortcuts put the abstract into action, helping learners to build up their confidence and master the competency in creating commands to make their iPads work for them.
This workshop will provide our participants with the foundation to build upon by giving them the hands on opportunities to solve problems using Shortcuts. This can then be translated to the classroom to challenge students to have a go at creative problem solving.

Wendy leverages digital learning platforms in the development of the Chinese language programme. Moreover, she uses combinations of digital programmes to create differentiated tasks for all students who are Chinese language learners. As an Apple Distinguished Educator, Wendy is particularly adept aligning iOS devices, Mac Programme/Applications for education to improve, motivate and encourage critical thinking.
