The power of the magic glass supports students on their learning. Wondering how we can use technology to engage students while promoting self-directed learning? This workshop is focused on how iPads in language classrooms can enhance student productive and receptive skills. Participants will learn through a hands on experience with various apps and workflows that they can easily apply in their own classrooms.

Ms Chua Jing Yi

Teacher, GEYLANG METHODIST PRIMARY SCHOOL

Jing Yi has been in the education field for 8 years, and is a teacher at Geylang Methodist School (Primary).


She graduated from National Institute of Education with a Diploma in Education for Chinese Language and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Infocomm Technology (ICT) at Singapore University of Social Sciences.


Jing Yi has a strong passion in marrying the interactive nature of ICT with the beauty of the Chinese language. She is constantly looking into various applications and means to transform conventional teaching to engage her students and develop their interest for the chinese language.


In her school, Jingyi is the pioneer in the usage of iPad applications in her lessons. She actively researches on new applications and how to incorporate them into lessons. She also introduces the usage of iPad and provides training to her colleagues in the mother tongue department.
