Student Learning Space (SLS) is a useful assessment tool to let teachers know how the students have done, but how can we shift the ownership of learning more towards the learner? I would like to share about how we can weave in peer and self assessments into our lesson design by using various apps and tools on the iPad as well as how SLS can come in to support this.

Khoo Xiang Yun is a Secondary School Chemistry Teacher. She completed her Post Graduate Degree in Education with Nanyang Technological University (NIE). Xiang Yun spent 4 years in service and is currently teaching in Nanyang Girls' High School. She had the opportunity to present as a speaker for the Taiwan Apple Summer Learning Academy in 2018, and is now a certified Apple Learning Leader in 2019. She believes that ICT plays an important role in supporting the teacher in the classroom, from gathering feedback to collaborative work, or even making learning more immersive and engaging. By constantly looking out for and learning new tools/platforms that could be used in the classroom, Xiang Yun hopes to have an arsenal of tools such that she is able to use the right tool to achieve the intended purpose.
