Mountain Retreat
This Mountain retreat condo was built in Linville Ridge, North Carolina. Buildings of this size built on drastic slopes are very challenging for designers and contractors. This was one of the first projects I worked on when I started out on my own. It involved many renderings to show off this unique site and were incorporated into a brochure that I designed.
The rendering at the top of the page was painted with opaque watercolor for a magazine ad and the one below was the same view done in pen and ink. The finished brochure was printed in black and white.
The condos look over a beautiful golf course with a mountain vista. The builder worked hard to preserve the trees and large boulders on the site.
Many of the units have unique floor plans with lofts

This was the original concept, much more massive. It was trimmed down considerably.
