If you are fortunate to travel to any areas in the Gold Coast region of Florida there are many Intracoastal Waterway sightseeing cruises available. It is a real treat to cruise up and down the waterway and see the numerous lavish homes of the rich and famous. I am not a name dropper but I have worked on projects for a few fairly important folks during my career. I have found Multi-millionaires are just like you and me; they put their pants on one leg at a time (except their pants may be Armani, Gucci or hand woven by trained silk worms). In addition to the huge houses it is common to get a peek at the many "toys," such as mega-yachts, go-fast speedboats and assorted watercraft.

Some waterfront property is quite large, giving the owners a feeling that they are living on their own private island.

The house below is built on a corner lot in an older exclusive yacht club development. It is over 30,000 sq.ft., a true mega-mansion. That is the size of a small department store. The owners have a 125 ft. yacht docked out back and it is so big it has to sail 15 miles south on the Intracoastal Waterway to Port Everglades Inlet because it is to huge to get out to the open ocean using the two closer inlets in the area.
