Venezuela hit by electricity blackouts

The Venezuelan government has announced an electricity rationing programme

where the entire country will be affected by four-hour blackouts on a weekly basis.

Electricity minister Angel Rodriguez said the cuts would take place in different parts

of Venezuela every other day.
