Banks can play a crucial role in financing solar energy projects provided there is the right sponsor and technology for these, said Daniel Calderon, Head of Investment (Europe), Masdar Abu Dhabi Future Energy at the Qatar Alternative Energy Investors Summit in Doha yesterday.

An interactive panel discussion focused on investment perspective for renewable energy industry which was conducted by Calderon, Benjamin Cotton, partner, Earth Capital Partners and Jens Yahya Zimmermann, partner, New Silk Route Capital.
