Agreement to Develop Hybrid Solar Thermal Energy Solutions to Reduce India’s Carbon Footprint

French nuclear Areva goes Solar

Anne Lauvergeon, AREVA CEO and Professor Prem Kumar Kalra, Head ofIndia’s Institute of Technology (ITT) in Rajasthan located in Jodhpur, signed a research and development cooperation agreement in the field of solar thermal. This works aim to develop hybrid energy solutions (gas/solar thermal), which are key to helping reduce India’s carbon footprint.

AREVA intends to contribute to the development of renewable energy sources in India. The group aims to position itself as a strategic actor in this domain.
