Develop a travel brochure that advertises one of the biomes we've discussed. 50ptsIt should include the following information:
1. Location and Climate information including any important seasonal variations, such as rainy season or temperature variations. talk about the weather and what the conditions are like there (10pts) 2. A description of plants and animals visitors might encounter, including any that might be dangerous. don't just list plants and animals, explain why/how they are adapted to living there (10pts)
3. Supplies travelers will need to have an enjoyable time in that particular biome. for example in the desert you might need sunglasses, a parka in the tundra, a swimsuit in the chaparral, etc. (5pts)
4. Recommendations on ways people can keep their impact on that biome to a minimum. this is where you address threats to this ecosystem, and how people can do their part to help and not make it worse. (5pts)
5. Pictures, illustrations, or drawings of the region and the things that live there. be colorful, creative, and NEAT. this is a brochure. it's supposed to be attractive. (15pts)
6. Recreational activities visitors could enjoy in the area. describe what kinds of fun things could a person do on a trip to this biome (5pts)
Guidelines: You can draw your own pictures or you can cut them out from somewhere. You can use your notes, magazines, internet, etc. Must be done on a regular size piece of paper. Whatever style you like - flier, bi-fold, or tri-fold. Be colorful. Be creative. Be neat.
